Our Teaching Team

Elementary - Secondary

Mrs. Amanda

I have been passionate about educating young children for the past 20 years. In 2002, I earned my Early Childhood degree from Weber State University and my Utah state education license.  I have taught every grade from preschool to 5th grade and have also direct Wasatch Christian School. I love seeing the light bulb turn on and that moment that a child grasps a new concept. My passions are teaching children to read, teaching mathematics, and most importantly about the Lord. I also enjoy planning and preparing hands on activities to keep my students learning and engaged. I consider it to be an honor and a blessing to be at WCS where I have the privilege to teach children about Jesus and His love for them.  I have five beautiful, fun children and a wonderful husband that I enjoy exploring God's beautiful creation with through a multitude of outdoor activities including traveling in the U.S and abroad.

Ms. Karissa

I have been at WCS for two years, along with my 3 and 8 year old children. I am going to school for Psychology and have lived in Roy most of my life. I love hockey, math, and our two dogs.

Mrs. Regina

I am very excited to be teaching at WCS this year! While this is my first year having my own class, I have been working in education for over five years. This has included subbing, tutoring, and teaching outdoor education. I can't wait to incorporate all that I've learned over the years into my lessons this year. I love to spend free time with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. I also enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, and writing. My favorite foods are spaghetti and tacos, and my favorite colors are turquoise and coral. My family recently moved to Utah from Florida, and so far we are loving it here!

Ms. Kaylie

I love, love working with kids! I’ve been babysitting since I was twelve and have loved working with kids since. All through high school I took classes that taught me the best ways to work with each age. This coursework has shown me how to provide what each child needs. I plan to go to college to continue to grow my knowledge and preparation as a teacher.

Rev. Adam

I have spent over a dozen years engaging in Christian education and formation with young people in a variety of contexts. I have worked with students from the age of three to graduate students, and everything in between, from after school programs and classrooms to youth groups and week long mountaineering trips. I hold a B.A. in Religious Studies from Virginia Wesleyan University, a Masters of Divinity, and an MA in Christian Education with a focus on Ministry with Young People from Princeton Theological Seminary. During the summer and school breaks, and am an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA). I serve as the Program Director and Lead Instructor for Arcadia Guided Outdoor Education, which exists to offer opportunities for leadership development, stewardship practices, and spiritual formation through outdoor education. I'm excited to walk with jr. and sr. high students through their educational process, and aim to encourage curiosity and critical thinking over simply having students know the "right" answer.

Ms. Mandy

I am the proud mom of two wonderful children ages 7 and 10. They are the light of my life! I started at Wasatch Christian School when I was looking for a career that allowed me more time and connection with my own children. I love working in a loving Christian environment. I am passionate about teaching about our Lord to the children here and mentoring our staff. I hold a Child Development Associate credential (CDA) and am working towards an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at Weber State University.  I look forward to meeting you and working with your family. God Bless!
