Infants - Secondary Teachers

Mrs. Amanda, Elementary and Junior High reading/math specialist teacher

I have been passionate about educating young children for the past 20 plus years. In 2002, I earned my Early Childhood degree from Weber State University and my Utah state education license.  I have taught every grade from preschool to 10th grade and I also direct Wasatch Christian School. I love seeing the light bulb turn on and that moment that a child grasps a new concept. My passions are teaching children to read, teaching mathematics, and most importantly about the Lord. I also enjoy planning and preparing hands on activities to keep my students learning and engaged. I consider it to be an honor and a blessing to be at WCS where I have the privilege to teach children about Jesus and His love for them.  I have five beautiful, fun children and a wonderful husband that I enjoy exploring God's amazing creation with through a multitude of outdoor activities including traveling in the U.S and abroad.

Mrs. Holly, 5th-6th grade teacher

My goal as a teacher is to help my students become life long learners. I enjoy teaching this age group because they have such bright and inquisitive minds.
I have had experience working in both public and charter schools, but I love the environment here at WCS. The ability to pray in my classroom and help my students know that God loves them is so gratifying.
I have been married to my husband Craig for 30 plus years. We have four  wonderful adult children and one granddaughter, that I adore.
I enjoy traveling,  especially road trips, nature photography, reading and spending time with my family. At Weber State University I majored in Child and Family Studies with a focus  on child development.

Ms. Kaylie, 3rd-4th grade teacher

I have been working at Wasatch Christian since 2016 and can’t picture myself working anywhere else. I have found a family here. I am attending college to earn my degree in Elementary Education. My goal is to make learning exciting for my students. I don’t want them to think of school work as a chore or something they have to do. I want them to look forward to coming to school and being excited for what’s in store for them. I find joy in watching each child succeed.

Ms. Mandy, 1st and 2nd grade teacher

I am the proud mom of two wonderful children ages 10 and 13. They are the light of my life! I started at Wasatch Christian School when I was looking for a career that allowed me more time and connection with my own children. I love working in a loving Christian environment. I am passionate about teaching about our Lord to the children here and mentoring our staff. I hold a Child Development Associate credential (CDA) and am working towards an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education at Weber State University.  I look forward to meeting you and working with your family.

I specialize in sports massage and strength and conditioning for MMA fighters, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu clients, volleyball players, tactical athletes, and mountaineers. I have authored two books and have been the strength and conditioning consultant for the Ogden City Police Department. Being able to teach Health and PE classes at Wasatch Christian brings me joy, as I hope to inspire these kids to glorify God as they lead healthy, active lives. Plus, I get to teach my five children and build a relationship with all the other students too.

Mrs. Lavigne, Art

I taught in the public school system for 30 years and retired, but missed teaching and having students too much.  So I joined the Wasatch Christian team and taught a variety of grades for 8 years.  I love teaching here as I had the freedom to tell children about the Lord, teach Bible and pray with my students daily. I retired a couple years ago, but just couldn't stay away.  I am now volunteering my time, teaching my passion, art, to the elementary and middle school children.
