Early Childhood Education Matters!
The holistic development of a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs builds a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing!
Did you know, 85% of brain development occurs before age 5? Research shows that kids who participate in early childhood education have a higher IQ. They are less likely to repeat grades, need special education, or get in trouble with the law, and they are more likely to graduate high school, go to college, own homes, have longer marriages, and earn higher wages. Crazy, right? Crazy important.
We are proud customers of the leading early education platform: brightwheel. With brightwheel, our teachers save time by combining check-in, photos, activities, and communication all in one place. This means more time with our students! As a parent, you’ll get private, real-time updates and photos delivered to phone or computer.
Early education centers across the globe use brightwheel to help schools and teachers stay better connected with families…We love how it helps us partner with you to serve your child well! Watch a video about it here!
Mind, Soul, Spirit, Body
In addition to our carefully cultivated curriculum that challenges our students' minds and helps them build relationships with others, we provide a diversity of additional classes and activities that stimulate their body, spirit, and soul!
This includes periodic music classes for age 2 and up, unique physical education classes taught by a local trainer, and weekly chapel services geared toward each age group (led by our incredible Ms. Sonia). We also have an awesome, federally approved food program (CACFP), that ensures the kids receive healthy, yummy breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day. Our menus are also reviewed by a local Dietician!
All of our teachers share their special skills and interests with the kids throughout the regular curriculum; when you peak into our classrooms, you will frequently find the kids learning Spanish or sign language, making art, or praying together. We believe that all of these things are the fuel that will enable your child to succeed in our ever-changing world.
Mr. Arlo, Strength Coach
I have owned Competitive Edge Fitness for 13+ years, during which time I have worked with thousands of clients from soccer moms to professional athletes from a variety of sports. I specialize in strength and conditioning and sports massage for MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, volleyball, tactical athletes, and mountaineers. I have authored two books and have been the strength and conditioning consultant for the Ogden City Police Department for the past 5 years. Being able to offer PE classes at Wasatch is a great joy, as I hope to inspire these kids to glorify God as they lead healthy, active lives. Plus I get to teach two of my five kids and get to know the students in my beautiful wife, Amanda's class.
Mr. Jakob, Chef
I have worked with pre-school and school-age children for the last two years. I work in the kitchen at Wasatch Christian, providing healthy food that the kids love. I am excited to serve your child this year!
