Our Philosophy:
WCS is committed to providing a Biblically-based education that is academically excellent in partnership with the family. Our desire is to work in unison with families in order to provide an education that prepares our students spiritually, academically, physically, emotionally, and socially for the rigors of life.
The Value of a Christian Education:
We will teach your child to love Jesus and to not be caught up in the things of this world. We will pray with your child. We will expect proper behavior. We will not allow your child to hear or use curse words. Will protect your child from bullies. We will teach your child the Word of God.
Our Educators:
We believe WCS has the most dedicated and effective team of educators in Northern Utah. Our kindergarten through 5th grade teachers have almost 100 years of combined teaching experience. With only five teachers, that averages out to almost 20 years teaching experience that we have in the classroom.
Individual Attention:
We have much smaller class sizes than any other public, private or charter school in Northern Utah. This allows our teachers to spend more individual time with each student to address his or her specific needs.
Dress Code:
We believe clothing should not be a distraction at school, therefore WCS has a dress code which encourages modesty, community and a focus on learning. It is also popular with parents since it saves money.
Our Results:
Due to our small class sizes, excellent teaching staff, and enriching environment, students at WCS often are doing work and achieving skills which are one year or more ahead of grade level.
On-Site Child Care:
You can eliminate the worry and hassle of what to do with your child before school and after school hours. Many of our children spend the whole day with us doing activities, playing and singing in our enriching Child Care center. Our Child Care Center offers a clean, safe facility, a large grassy playground area (which many daycares in our area do not have), and great caring teachers.
Our Facilities:
We have an excellent school facility with bright classrooms filled with natural light. We also have use of the playground and park adjacent to our building. Our Child Care center has a new enclosed playground including a sandbox, a slide, trikes and more.
Our Location:
We are conveniently located across the park from the South Ogden City Hall, Police and Fire Department complex near the intersection of 40th South and Adams Ave. in South Ogden. We are convenient for families in South Ogden, Ogden, Washington Terrace, Riverdale and surrounding communities.
Our Food:
Our catered lunches are not chef surprises and sloppy joes. We serve healthy hot lunches Monday through Thursday.
Our Value:
We are less expensive than other private schools in Northern Utah and less expensive than you might expect. We also offer discounted tuition for families of modest income.
